Girls State
PRW supports an annual scholarship to Girls State. The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State is a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and Country. Since the inception of the Girls State program in 1937, nearly one million young people have had the opportunity to learn first-hand how their state and local government works.
Each year PRW makes a donation of books as part of the NFRW Literacy and Education effort.
PRW's 2016 basket of books was given to representatives of the George W. Bush Elementary School in the Wylie I.S.D.
In 2015 a basket of books for children was given to Emily's Place a local organization that helps women and children break the cycle of domestic violence.
